"No detail too small"
Dr. Ava is an accomplished dentist with a passion for dento-facial aesthetics, advanced biomimetic dentistry, and orthodontics using clear aligners. Her extensive education and experience make her a leader in the field, but it is her warm and compassionate approach to patient care that truly sets her apart.
Dr. Ava’s journey into dentistry began after the completion of her Bachelor of Engineering (Structural – First Class Honors) degree. Seeking a more artistic expression of her scientific mindset – she found herself compelled to pursue a Bachelor of Oral Health Science degree and a Master of Dentistry from Griffith University. A career in dentistry provided her with the perfect combination of engineering sciences and artistic expression. She continued her education with a Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Orthodontics. Throughout this time she has worked as a general dentist in both public and private sectors – and too has worked to mentor younger dentists starting their career.
Dr. Ava’s interests lie in the areas of dento-facial aesthetics and advanced biomimetic dentistry. She is passionate about creating natural-looking, beautiful smiles that not only enhance a patient’s appearance but also improve their overall oral health and self-confidence. She firmly believes that a smile can be a person’s greatest asset, and takes great pride in helping her patients achieve their personal goals.
Dr. Ava’s treatment style is focused on providing her patients with personalized, compassionate care. She takes the time to listen to her patients’ concerns and needs, and works with them to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific situation. Her expertise in clear aligners ensures that her patients receive the most advanced orthodontic care available, with treatments that are both effective and discreet.
Dr. Ava enjoys spending time at the beach and in nature, which helps her relax and find balance in her life. She also has a curious mind and enjoys learning through Audible and podcasts on various topics, from health to science. These personal interests not only allow her to recharge and take a break from her professional life, but they also reflect her appreciation for the beauty of the natural world and her curiosity to keep learning and growing as a person.
As a reflection of her interest in Stoic philosophy, Dr. Ava often turns to the wisdom of the Stoics for inspiration. One quote that particularly resonates with her is from Marcus Aurelius, who wrote in his “Meditations”:
“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.”
Dr. Ava finds this quote to be a powerful reminder that true happiness comes from within, and that cultivating a positive mindset can make all the difference in how we experience the world around us.
